As one of the most well known and respected Djs across the globe, Revolution has been holding down the two Technics on the longest running mix show in commercial radio history for 10 years now. The Wake Up Show, with hosts Sway (MTV) and King Tech is an internationally syndicated hip hop mix show that has helped launch the careers of some of the biggest and brightest including Eminem, Xzbit, Common, and countless others. The show even experienced a brief run as a series on MTV, adding visual images and faces to the world famous radio trio. However, Exposing quality Hip Hop to millions of people while displaying his unquestionable skill is just part of DJ Rev’s resume.

Aside from his weekly DJ and production duties on the radio show based out of Power 106 in Los Angeles, he has lent his now infamous scratch techniques and production skills to many artists, established and up and coming alike. KRS-1, Dilated Peoples, Canibus, Chino XL, Royce da 5’ 9”, Tha Alkaholiks, Mystic, Bootcamp Click and many more have all witnessed the turntable wizardry or pounding beats that Revolution brings to the table. He has released too many mixtapes to name. Most recently, the first installments in a series of 20 volumes, “Class Of 85” and “Class of 86” received incredible feedback. He has also taken his skills to the far corners of the world and ripped clubs all over Europe, Asia and Australia/New Zealand. This of course includes traveling the US and Canada to spin with the likes of Icons such as Jazzy Jeff, DJ Premier. Pete Rock, 9th Wonder, Q-tip and Maseo from De La Soul while also headlining clubs and festivals himself. Revolution has also been featured in many respected magazines such as The Source, The Source France, XXL, Fader, Vibe, Elemental, XLR8R, Urb, Blast, Juice, countless respected blogs and many other national, international and local publications. Captions, interviews and miscellaneous video footage of him in action can be found on websites all over the Internet as well.

DJ Revolution has also released 3 solo full length Lp’s that garnered worldwide critical acclaim (“In 12s We Trust”/”R2K”/”King Of The Decks”) and a collaboration with his partners Sway & Tech (“This Or That”) on Interscope in ‘99. His Latest album was released on the legendary independent label DuckDown Records and had one of two music videos shot for the record land in rotation with MTV U and MTV Jams. The now classic anthem “The DJ” featuring KRS-1 achieved great success around the world on radio and satellite. “King of the Decks”, which continues to sell also found its way to the top of some of the more prominent tastemakers ‘best album of 08’ lists including #1 with DJ Premier. Currently, he is promoting and touring the album while DJ’ing in clubs, creating music for TV, Film and independent film makers. He got the bug in 1997 when he scored the Jet Li cult classic movie “Black Mask”. To date he has worked with MTV, VH-1, ESPN among others and has had music placed on many popular Network and cable shows.

However, no matter how involved in the business of being one of the worlds most versatile and respected Hip Hop DJ’s Revolution becomes he will always be most comfortable standing behind two 1200’s.
